Yosuke Yamashita New Quartet
Yosuke Yamashita trio, formed in 1969, had a huge impact on jazz with their free-formed energetic performances. They have played not only with jazz artists around the world but also with artists from other genres such as Wadaiko (Japanese drum) players and orchestras. The CD of their first concerto "Encounter" was released in Dec 2007 and the 3rd piano concerto "Explorer" in Jan 2008. In March the same year they released "Triple Cats" to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the New York Trio.
