Kiyosaku Uezu (B, Vo), Takashi Gima (G, Vo), Satoshi Takazado (D, Vo) The members of MONGOL800 are all from Okinawa and they still remain in this Japanese island paradise. The band was formed in 1998 in highschool with the current lineup. Their first album "GO ON AS YOU ARE" was released only in Okinawa in Dec 1999. Answering requests from other areas of Japan, the album was released nationwide in Apr 2000. Their simple language and peace-wishing message from their home island of Okinawa aroused sympathy from a lot of people, and their releases have sold in great numbers. Staying true to their Okinawan roots, they keep playing free and easy and in the summer of 2008 they celebrate their 10th anniversary. On Jul 8th they released their 10th anniversary album "etc works" which includes their tribute songs, collaborations etc.
