Yuji Ohno & Lupintic Five
ジYuji Ohno & Lupintic Five was formed in 2006 and are soon to release the 10th album of their popular "LUPIN THE THIRD 'JAZZ'" series. a series that has opened a lot of peoples eyes to the joy and intricacies of jazz music. The band is a sextet, consisting of Yuji Ohno (P), Masayuki Tawarayama (B), Yoshihito Eto (D), Yuki Matsushima (Tp), Shokai Suzuki (sax) and Satoshi Izumi (G). With their first album, mostly containing music from the anime "LUPIN THE THIRD", they toured live music clubs and concert halls all over Japan and their cool yet hot performances attracted a lot of attention, drawing more and more people to their concerts as well as helping record sales. Since then the band gained momentum, releasing 2 soundtracks to the LUPIN THE THIRD TV special. In Nov of 2007, their 2nd original album "What's Going On" was released after which the band went on tour again. This summer, another soundtrack of LUPIN THE THIRD TV special is set to come out.
